Let’s settle, we are not millionaires 😉 And we love to travel. What we can do is to plan trips with the proper thought budget. Here is what we are doing.

Kamil loves MS Excel and he has a point in his affection. This is the best idea to track your budget. A well-prepared sheet will count all you want. You just need to insert a data and commands in it and Exel will calculate for you everything. You can share it with others and have it with you during the trip.
In our table we are including costs for:
- Airplane
- Hotel (average)
- Insurance
- Transport from airport both ways
- Average price for food per day and count it per all days
- Transport in the city per day and count it per all days
- Trips we want to have
- Renting a car (if we decide we want a car)
- Beer/Wine 😉
Now we are deciding how much money we want and can spend on that trip and then we can plan more detailed things.
We are planning a budget based on our Exel but also we have in mind some unpredictable expenses. So we are saving some amount on account for some accidents. This one is very important. You never know what will happen. So you can’t go abroad having money calculated to every penny and no plan B.
After the trip, we are counting all once again regarding all small spendings, food etc. and we know how much we extended the budget (usually it happens but with small amounts 😉 )
Now we can pick next destination and plan budget 🙂 Stay tuned because next post is about our dream come true destination- Maldives!
