The Maldives are beautiful and breathtaking. When are you thinking about them you have in mind white sand and perfect blue sea, maybe some green palms. But there is more 😉
I was surprised how many beautiful flowers you can find in the Maldives. They are so colorful!
I have my favorite one, it’s called plumeria and this is national flower 🙂
And what about animals?
Mosquitos everywhere! The climate is humid, warm and ideal for mosquitoes. And they are bitting hard 🙁 Take a lot of spray against mosquitoes. You can buy spray specially for tropical mosquitos on ebay.com/amazon.com/allegro.pl. I took regular one from Poland, it was said that this is for tropical bags and it was ok. During the day they are not a problem, but after the sun goes down they are everywhere.
But there were no dangerous animals around. No spiders, no sharks, no snakes. Only crabs all over the beach. When we were laying on the beach we could hear them while they were running around. They were etcher small one without shell or bigger ones with shells.
There were also big bats. Many bats 😉 Not dangerous, just flying low, sitting on trees and watching people. They were really big! It’s hard to see it on this pictures, but trust me, they were big 😉
And the last animal that we saw all the time were small lizards. Locals told us that they are maximum 10 cm and not dangerous at all. Just running and eating spiders and mosquitos.
Kamil hoped to see some amazing animals, some sharks or spiders, but this never happened 😉 what makes me happy. We’ve read that the Maldives are safe in case of animals and there is nothing to be afraid of. Even sharks are nice and they are not eating people 😉
