Sometimes it’s very healthy to be spontaneous 🙂 So during our long trip to the Maldives, we had one stop in Paris, just for one night. We arrived from the airport to our hotel around 16h. We ate and we decided that we could go to see Eifell Tower. But it wasn’t so easy. We had a shuttle bus from hotel to airport every 40 minutes. If you are planning to go to Maldives there are few things that you need to take with you in your luggage. We can recommend you few things base on our experience 🙂 SUN CREAM 50+!!!– this is extremely important. If you think you need one bottle for a week for one person, take two. And buy a good one, not the cheapest one. You can very easily get sunburn. Romantic sunset dinner at the beach <3 What else you need 😉 Hotel prepared for us very romantic dinner at the beach. With fish that we caught by yourself, fresh fruits and fresh orange juice. It was really really nice evening 🙂 Not everything went so perfect 😉 We had only one hour for our dinner as a big storm was coming 😀 After 15 minutes of rain, there was no trace after the storm.
When you are going to the Maldives you have few options to spend your time: on the beach or on the trips. You can go for one day in resort trip, snorkeling, mana race, swimming with dolphins, to sandbank or to a desert island or for island hopping and more and more. We choose sandbank and night fishing, snorkeling, manta race and romantic dinner. After negotiations, we paid for all 300$. The Maldives are beautiful and breathtaking. When are you thinking about them you have in mind white sand and perfect blue sea, maybe some green palms. But there is more 😉 I was surprised how many beautiful flowers you can find in the Maldives. They are so colorful! I have my favorite one, it’s called plumeria and this is national flower 🙂 And what about animals? Mosquitos everywhere! The climate is humid, warm and ideal for mosquitoes. Sandbank… This is the most beautiful place I saw in my life. I was almost crying from happiness. We had a trip to sandbank for 40$ per person. We got out at 9 am. Guys from Starry Night have their regular sandbank near Ukulhas but it was already taken by some family so they took another one. It was 40 minutes by speedboat. Ukulhas is very small island it’s 800m. Only 1000 people live there. The first tourist arrived at Ukulhas in 2012. The island is clean and nice. You will find here 5 restaurants, few guesthouses, and 3-4 small shops. It’s very quiet „city” 🙂 They have one big school where at 12:45 all mothers are gathering to pick up kids. Choosing island was very hard. But Kamil makes big Exel table and thought about everything 😉 After comparing 40 islands we decided for Ukulkas. We did this comparison based on informations from google and by writing emails to hotels on each island with questions. We considered bikini beach- usually on local islands you have some small part of beach reserved for tourists where they can swim in a bikini. Male is the smallest capital in the world- 6 km2! 133 412 people live there which means 23 000 person/1km2! Streets are very cramped and crowded. Everywhere you will see motorbikes. They are quite dangerous when you are trying to cross the road. They don’t care about people 😉 Buildings are high so they can fit all of this people.
