We always wanted to move abroad. To try something new. Travel as much as possible. But there was always something. University, important job, project or family problems or just life. Always something. And in October 2016 some things were finishing and we were thinking what we can do now. And a few months later the decision was made- we are moving to Barcelona!
Kamil found a new job and he moved at the end of March. And I planned to move at the end of April. We were very excited! 🙂 And here we are leaving the dream in Barcelona.
And why Barcelona? Well, we did some research about big European cities. Regarding weather, job market, salaries, culture and connection with Poland. I was in Barcelona almost 10 years ago and I fall in love with the city. I promised myself that one day I will be back here and maybe I will live in this city. I fall in love with sea, sun, and beach. With positive people and amazing food. We were also thinking about Berlin 😉 But the sun, sea, and good wine convinced us for Barcelona 🙂 We are amazed by great food and weather.
We are both in big love with this city! It’s really perfect place to leave. There is a lot of cons of course. But you don’t care about them, you can be very happy here.
And you know what is really funny? That so many people from Poland that we spoke were amazed by our idea. There were telling us that they would like to do the same. But it requires a lot of courage from you. Yes, it does. But this is not so impossible and so far away. Really. If you are thinking about moving away why just don’t do this? You can arrange everything. It will require from you a lot of logistics and some courage, but it’s not a thing that can’t ever happen 😉
So I packed my whole like in few suitcases, took my cat and flew to Barcelona 🙂
