We decided to spend our vacation at Ukulkas so now it is time to chose hotel 🙂
During decision process we were thinking about:
- food- if we can eat in the hotel all meals and how much they cost
- trips- what kind of trips they can arrange for us and how much we need to pay for it
- transport- if they can pick us up from Male and how much it cost (50$ per person one way for speedboat)
- location- hahaha no, almost all islands are so small that is doesn’t meter where is the hotel 😉
- price
And the winner is- Starry Night

From the beginning, we had good experience with this hotel. They helped us with the speedboat. The manager picked up us frothe m port wita h golf car, carry my heavy bag 😉 We gea t welcome non alcoholic drink a la mojito and we saw very nice and clean room 😉 He showed us the beach and explain where is city center ect.
Food was perfect. Everyday evening we were ordering breakfast for an exact hour. We were waking up and breakfast was waiting 🙂 For breakfast I was eating tuna pasta with chili, coconut and lime (amazing but bit spicy) and Kamil was eating something local with spicy sausage.
For lunch and dinner we were also leaving an order for specific time and 30 minutes earlier local cook was coming to cook it specially for us. So it was always fresh and warm. Not like in big hotel cooked fro 20 people waiting in the pot all day. Food was delicious. Spicy but great. We were eating fishes almost everyday for all meals 🙂 With pasta or rice. What was also very nice from the hotel is that for all meals or trips we were getting a free bottle of water just to remind us about drinking.
There is no more food pictures. What is very important about us is that we don’t have time to make beautiful photos of food 🙂 not much #instafood #foodporn ect. Sometimes I’m making a pic but it’s ugly 🙂 We are getting food to eat when it is warm and delicious not after 15 minutes of making perfect photo 😀 So no pictures just trust us- food in Starry Night was amazing 🙂
In the hotel, you can meet manager and owner. And they are very helpful and nice. We decided for such trips:
- sand bank
- nightfishing
- manata race
- snorkeling at the coral reef
- romantic dinner at the beach
Prices where around 30-50$ per person. There was also swimming with dolphins (100$) and some other more expensive. When we spoke with an owner that we want to take all of this trips he made a good price for us. In the Maldives you can always negotiate the price 😉 All of this trips where great 🙂 You will read about trips in next posts.
On Friday we had a local night in a hotel with local music and dance 🙂
And last but very crucial- price. We wanted to spend max 2000PLN/ 500$ for 6 nights. But it was max 🙂 And on booking.com this was the price for Starry Night but we checked agoda.com and there was 1200PLN/400$ with breakfasts. So the price was great for us 🙂
Our stay in Starry Night was amazing. Hotel was clean, with great food and amazing service. Nothing to complain. We want to recommend you this hotel 🙂
